This TOPICS PAGE is a gateway to several pages I have written on specific topics of chemistry to help clarify some of the jargon that is used in the journals and in the press regarding developments in science.
It is also, I hope, a place where queries can be made regarding topics of science that may have come up in the main blog. For instance a lot of coverage has been given to advances in various plastic electronic components (because it is my field and I like to discuss it!). As such, I thought it would be pertinent to try and explain what plastic electronics were and why they were being looked into.
I will at some point be writing more sections (probably more on the electronic componentry as I find it awesome 
) but also on more non-chemistry based subjects, particularly medicine, biology, some physics no doubt, and hopefully some astronomy. Until then however, it would be massively appreciated if you could
- a/ enjoy the sections that are already here,
- b/ ask any questions you may have,
- c/ submit requests for information on anything you think I may have some knowledge on (phys-chem being the limit there I fear!)
- d/ send me any comments. And I do mean any comments. Without them I don’t know if I’m doing a good job.
